With my Activator theme, you can count on me to be a catalyst and start the engine for the team. On a whole, the downsides have made me learn to see the benefits of slowing down and taking a second glance, as the different perspectives gathered can greatly alter my mindset and teach me to look out for other factors, especially people, before I act. This tends to make them even more disheartened and discouraged about trying to work with me. Also, the fast pace at which I tend to do things can often overwhelm people who can’t seem to catch up. At least a decision was made and it’s action-oriented. With the Activator StrengthsFinder theme in my top 5, these are the two most common words I use in my everyday life. Somehow, if the decision was overruled by a majority, we simply reverse course and head the other way. People with strong Activator talents are impatient for action. Most of the time, when my friends ask, “where do we go for lunch?” I’m the one who will start moving and I will pull others along. Gallup, StrengthsFinder, and each of the 34 StrengthsFinder theme names are trademarks. What’s most important to me is I learn from the mistakes that I’ve made which gives me useful and practical advice as to how best to do things. I may not always succeed on the first time, but neither did Thomas Edison. I love hands-on work and projects and I love practicing on my guitar. I learn best when I’m trying things out and putting what I’ve learnt into action. You can have your three-hour long meetings and intense caffeine-powered brainstorming sessions, but as an Activator, I would rather jump straight into the action and learn on the job. Hi, my name is Jeshaiah, and I am an Activator.
